How it works
What “verified” and “mapped” actually mean
Two words do most of the work on this site. Here is exactly what each one covers, and what it does not.
The two checks
Verified
A provider uploads their documents — working-with-children checks, insurance, registrations. The Common Skills Team looks at them and records the date. Their listing then says “verified”, with that date.
What it covers: the documents named on the listing existed and were current when we looked.
What it does not cover: it is not a guarantee of quality, safety or suitability, and it is not an accreditation. We never say “accredited”. Your school’s own checks are still your school’s to make.
Mapped
We match each program to up to five skills it builds, and show them as a bundle.
What it covers: the skills a program is likely to build, shown together, in no order.
What it does not cover: it is not a score, a rating or a ranking, and it says nothing about how well any student will do. There is no single “top” skill — the bundle is the answer.
What we do not do
We do not rate providers, rank them, or recommend one over another. Schools keep private notes for their own use, and those notes stay with the school that wrote them.

Every provider’s page shows what we checked and when.
