About Common Skills

Built by the Common Skills Team for the schools we serve

Common Skills is a Common Flow product. It exists so schools can find outside providers quickly, keep their own records, and see the skills each program builds.

Who we are

Study Work Grow is an Australian social enterprise that makes career-education tools for schools, students and families. We are a small team in Queensland, and everything we build is for the benefit of our member schools.

Why a marketplace

Schools already work with hundreds of outside providers, but the details live in inboxes and spreadsheets. Common Skills gives every school one directory, one set of notes, and one way to see what a program actually builds.

How providers are checked

Two words, two checks

We never say “accredited”. We say what we did.

  1. Register

A provider tells us who they are, what they run and where.

  2. Verified

We check the documents they upload — working-with-children checks, insurance, registrations.

  3. Mapped

We map each program to up to five skills it builds. A bundle, never a score.

  4. Listed

Approved providers appear in the directory. Schools can save them and add private notes.

Common questions

Do schools rate providers?

No. There are no stars, scores or rankings anywhere on Common Skills. Schools keep private notes for their own use.

What does “verified” cover?

The documents a provider uploaded were checked by the Common Skills Team at the date shown on their page. It is not a guarantee of quality.

Does it cost schools anything?

Browsing is free. Saving providers and keeping notes is part of a Study Work Grow school membership.
